Skip satellite preprocessing
Use ready-to-display monthly mosaics instead of managing scene selection, cloud masking, mosaicking, color consistency and tile hosting.
NIMBO is designed to fit into existing geospatial workflows — not only to be viewed in Earth Online.
Connect your GIS to NIMBO once, then access monthly, cloud-free and spatially consistent satellite basemaps without selecting scenes, masking clouds, mosaicking images or hosting tiles yourself. You keep working in QGIS, ArcGIS or another GIS with your own parcels, assets, boundaries and analysis layers.

Skip satellite preprocessing
Use ready-to-display monthly mosaics instead of managing scene selection, cloud masking, mosaicking, color consistency and tile hosting.
Keep your existing workflow
Overlay NIMBO with your own vector layers, project data and cartographic outputs directly in the GIS software you already use.
Compare the same territory over time
Load different monthly layers to inspect visible changes without rebuilding a new basemap for every date.
Work consistently at large scale
Use homogeneous basemaps across cities, regions or countries through standard map services.
Create a NIMBO account
Sign up or sign in at maps.nimbo.earth.
Copy your API token
Open Dashboard → API Access and copy your personal kermap_token. See Authentication for the complete instructions.
Follow the tutorial for your software
Use the QGIS, ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online guide above. For another application, check which standard map service it supports.
Add the monthly layer you need
Select the date and layer available for your account, then combine NIMBO with your own project data.
Each new tile requested by your GIS consumes one GeoCredit. Panning, zooming, changing dates or loading another layer may request additional tiles. See Tiles & GeoCredits to understand and monitor usage.
| Software or workflow | Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| QGIS | WMTS | Efficient tiled display. TMS and WMS are also available when required by your workflow. |
| ArcGIS Pro | WMTS | ArcGIS Pro does not natively support TMS, and WMTS is generally smoother for browsing than WMS. |
| ArcGIS Online | WMS | Follow the documented OGC WMS connection workflow. |
| MapLibre, Leaflet or OpenLayers | TMS | Direct tile URLs are well suited to web mapping libraries. |
| Other GIS software | WMTS first, WMS as fallback | Choose the standard best supported by your application. |
